MrBeast to Film Second Season of “Beast Games” in Las Vegas

Filming is expected to begin in mid-June in a newly erected large building and employ around 500 professionals

MrBeast, a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson, has become widely famous for creating various game shows and featuring them on his YouTube channel, which currently boasts more than 385 million subscribers. The online celebrity will soon be going to Las Vegas for the filming of the second season of his famous (or, in some cases, infamous) game show “Beast Games.”

Giant Building Being Made to Host Filming of Beast Games Season 2

The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) announced that episode 201 of the Beast Games will be filmed exclusively on location at South Point. Officials stated that the production has a projected budget of $16 million, all of which is expected to be spent within Nevada.

Officials stated that over the span of a month, including pre-production, filming, and wrap-up, approximately 500 professionals are expected to be employed. This includes grips, electricians, carpenters, painters, production assistants, producers, security personnel, and various other crew members.

Documents approved by Clark County for a dirt lot at 2725 W. Pyle Ave., owned by South Point owner Michael Gaughan’s South 80 LLC, were reviewed by the Clark County Fire Prevention Bureau due to plans involving the temporary use of six diesel generators and 500-gallon fuel tanks, totaling a fuel capacity of 7,562 gallons. Filming is expected to begin in mid-June. The permit lists a move-in date of May 1, and the structure is set to be dismantled by June 30. The show is expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

The First Time Didn’t Go So Smoothly

“Beast Games” first season was filmed at Allegiant Stadium in July 2024, just a stone’s throw away from Las Vegas. The show featured 2,000 contestants competing for a $5 million prize through a series of challenges. Promoted as “the biggest competition in game show history,” it instead turned into one of the genre’s most notorious controversies, triggering a class-action lawsuit over alleged mistreatment. Filed last September by five female contestants, the lawsuit accuses the production of sexual harassment, inadequate food, insufficient medical support, and failure to cover expenses and wages. The case remains ongoing.

But there have been more MrBeast events in Las Vegas since then, namely the “MrBeast Experience” offered a few months ago by Resorts World. However, that one also ended with mixed results as fans demanded refunds en masse, claiming the event was disorganized, lackluster, and that MrBeast himself did not show up to it. Each contestant had paid $1,000 for a three-day package that promised an “unforgettable” event, including a series of on-site activations at select restaurants on the property, designed to offer guests an immersive experience.
