Mindway AI Expands Board of Directors, Adds Willem Van Oort
Mindway AI, an artificial-intelligence-powered solution that protects bettors and helps them to prevent addiction, has reinforced its board of directors with a new addition. The one joining the company is Willem Van Oort, a decorated gambling industry veteran.
Van Oort Brings Years of Experience to the Company
Van Oort has years of experience in gambling both as a consultant and a journalist. He has written a plethora of articles for the gambling news outlet Gambling Insider and is working as an independent iGaming consultant. Van Oort has founded the business-to-business communities Gaming in Germany, Gaming in Holland and Gaming in Spain.
Van Oort is, furthermore, an active member of the IMGL, the IAGA and Jdigital. His profound experience in the various aspects of the industry will be of great value to Mindway AI and its mission of promoting responsible gambling.
As a part of Mindway’s board of directors, Van Oort will join an experienced team of professionals, including Kim Mouridsen, the founder of Mindway AI, Flemming Pedersen the chief financial officer of Better Collective and Birgitte Sand, the chief executive of Birgitte Sand and Associate and an ex-director general of the Danish Gambling Authority.
The Veteran’s Expertise Will Fuel Mindway AI’s Expansion
Van Oort is delighted to offer his knowledge to Mindway AI. He noted that the company has developed “truly innovative, science-based solutions to deter at-risk gambling behavior early on.” The industry veteran is convinced that Mindway AI has tremendous potential and is looking forward to helping with its growth. Van Oort noted:

Rasmus Kjaergaard, the chief executive officer of Midway AI, welcomed Van Oort to the board of directors on the behalf of the whole team. He emphasized that the new director’s outstanding experience will be an invaluable addition to the company.

Kjaergaard added that Mindway AI plans to expand its business, scaling its operation in both Europe and outside of Europe. He explained that Van Oort’s advice concerning this envisioned expansion will be highly appreciated.
Mindway AI is a company that specializes in AI-powered monitoring systems that help gambling regulators identify and prevent problem gamblers before they hurt themselves. At the beginning of 2021, Better Collective saw Mindway AI’s success and purchased 90% of the company.
