This is precisely what happened to a 19-year-old Lapeer County man, who won $533,646 from the lottery, and is on his way to completely turning his life around. The man, who was not identified by name, did share his excitement about having secured this much money in one fell swoop.

“ I stopped and bought a Fast Cash ticket on my way to work and looked it over later that day.

My mom has the Michigan Lottery app on her phone, so when I saw I’d won the jackpot, I had her scan the ticket to make sure it was real. We started screaming and jumping up and down when the $533,646 came up on the scanner!” 

The ticket was bought at a Mobil X on Van Dyke Road, Almont, and the venue will receive a customary premium for the sale of the winning ticket.
