Michigan Lottery Winner Plans Voyage After Winning $2M from Scratch-off Ticket

A lucky Michigan Lottery player has won $2 million from one of the lottery’s scratch-off games. This came just a few months after the lottery announced that a separate player had won $6 million from another game.

The Man Plans to Travel a Bit

In its official announcement, the Michigan Lottery announced that a player in Wayne County won a life-changing $2 million from the Legendary Wild Time instant game. The lucky ticket was sold at Jefferson Fuels Inc., located at 8005 East Jefferson Avenue in Detroit.

The lucky winner visited the lottery HQ to claim the big prize. According to officials, he chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $1.3 million rather than taking the annuity payments for the full $2 million.

In an interview with the lottery, the man admitted that he is no stranger to its games and occasionally buys a random ticket. He said that he didn’t choose the Legendary Wild Time game for a particular reason and noted that it was just a random pick. However, the man did not expect this totally random pick to change his life for good.

I scratched the ticket right after I bought it and didn’t believe it was real when I saw I’d won $2 million! It wasn’t until I called the Lottery and verified my prize that it started to sink in that this was really happening.

The Wayne County man told the Michigan Lottery that he plans to use some of the money to travel and save the rest.

It should be noted that the $20 Legendary Wild Time game features two more top prizes of $2 million, as well as eight outstanding prizes of $10K.

Michigan Woman Won Big, Vowed to Help Others

As mentioned, a woman from the same state recently won $6 million from another instant game. The 63-year-old Clinton County woman was enjoying a Millionaire Maker ticket that quickly turned into an unforgettable payday.

The woman spoke to lottery officials, admitting that, although this was a life-changing prize, she did not plan to change a lot about her life. However, the woman vowed to use the money to change the lives of others, including her loved ones.

In other news, the latest Powerball jackpot landed just a few days ago. The mouth-watering $209.3 million prize went to a player from NC, making it the sixth Powerball jackpot to be won by a resident of this state.

In the meantime, the winner of the previous Powerball jackpot, which stood at a whopping $1.82 billion, just came forward to claim their prize.
