Michael Mizrachi Takes WSOP Main Event, Wins $10M
The poker whizz’s career is in an upswing, most recently with his triumph at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas

Michael Mizrachi has now brought his total live earnings to $29,013,562, following his excellent performance at the 56th World Series of Poker – WSOP 2025, Las Vegas, during which he won $10,000,000 and became the 31st player in the world by the size of his total live earnings.
15 Years Later, Mizrachi Achieves Goal that Eluded Him in 2010
He is also the first person to have won both the $50K WSOP Poker Players Championship and the Main Event in the same year, and what this means is that Mizrachi is yet to achieve great poker. He nearly did this before, after he won the PPC and reached the final table in 2010.
However, he finished fifth, but after more than a decade, he was able to achieve this remarkable feat once again. Although his winnings are not poker’s largest, fans have already circulated rumors that his induction in the WSOP Hall of Fame ought to be expedited, as a testament to Mizrachi’s remarkable feat.
Mizrachi is a player of distinct style. He is known to play aggressively, especially when he has a chip lead, and this often puts even the most experienced poker players on the back foot. Most players admit that they spend the time thinking “what if he isn’t bluffing,” referring to his tendency to try and price out opponents.
The issue with Mizrachi’s strategy is that it’s rarely a gimmick, and he leans into high odds and strong cards to deliver results, as he has been for more than 15 years now. The event was special, not only because of Mizrachi’s excellent plays against John Wasnock at the end, but also because the final table had its first woman since 1995 –Leo Margets, who finished seventh, and who won $1.5 million.
This was the third-largest event in WSOP history, raising $90,535,500.
