Mega Millions Player Won $10M, Jackpot Reaches $60M for Tonight’s Drawing

The Mega Millions jackpot has reached $60 million as players prepare for tonight’s drawing. This comes shortly after a player won half a billion dollars from the game.

A Lucky Player from Florida Won $10M

Last Friday’s Mega Millions drawing did not award a top prize since no player managed to match all six numbers in the game. As a result, no one won the $50 million jackpot and the prize continued to grow.

For context, the winning numbers for the drawing that took place on March 13 were 6, 19, 36, 40, and 55, while the gold Mega Ball was 9. As mentioned, matching all of these would have netted a hypothetical winner some $50 million, or 22.9 million if they went with the one-time lump sum option.

Although no one was that lucky, a few players narrowly missed the top prize, only to win the game’s second or third-tier prize. For example, five players matched all the white numbers with the exception of the Mega Ball. One of these was a player from Pennsylvania who will take home some $2 million. The other winner was a player from Florida who matched the same numbers but will take home $10 million instead, thanks to their 10X multiplier.

Additionally, eight players matched four white numbers and the Mega Ball to win various prizes, depending on their multiplier. Four of them secured $20,000 each (2X multiplier), two won $30,000 each (3X multiplier), a single player took home $50,000 (5X multiplier), while another scored a win of $100,000 (10X multiplier).

In the meantime, the game’s top prize reached $60 million with a cash value of $27.1 million.

Players in Massachusetts Win Big

In other lottery-related news, a lucky lottery player from Massachusetts just won the largest prize the Massachusetts Lottery has awarded so far in 2026. The player was enjoying the $25,000,000 Mega Money game and won the titular top prize.

Although officials concluded that the winner bought their ticket at the Cumberland Farms in Turners Falls, a village of Montague, their identity has yet to be revealed.

This was not the end of the windfalls in Massachusetts, though, as two other players won $1 million each.
