Mega Millions Jackpot Soars to $843M for Friday Drawing

The next drawing is set to take place later today, November 7, at 11 pm ET

The air is filled with anticipation as the next Mega Millions drawing looms. With the jackpot currently sitting at a staggering $843 million, fans across America are waiting with bated breath.

The Longest Streak on Record, According to Officials

After eluding players for quite a while, the Mega Millions jackpot has now reached an estimated $843 million, with an estimated cash value of $391.7 million. This is notably the eighth-largest jackpot in the game’s long history.

While many hoped for a frighteningly lucky Halloween, the October 31 drawing ended up playing Americans a trick, once again failing to elect a winner. Then, the same happened on Tuesday when no player matched the five white balls and the gold Mega Ball.

For context, the winning numbers for the most recent drawing were 11, 14, 17, 50, 57, plus Mega Ball 6. In addition to failing to elect a winner of the mouth-watering $843 million prize, the drawing did not award any smaller seven-figure prizes either.

The next drawing is set to take place later today, November 7, at 11 pm ET. It will mark the 38th drawing since the last time the jackpot was won. While the current prize is only the eighth-highest, this is the longest time the game has gone without a big winner. The previous record stood at 37 drawings, which ended in a spectacular $1.05 billion jackpot (January 22, 2021).

Mega Millions Jackpot Eludes Players, But Other Lottery Games Award Big Prizes

In other lottery-related news, a lucky winner just won FLORIDA LOTTO’s grand prize of $6.25 million. The lucky woman chose the lump-sum option, taking home $3,529,535.42.

In the meantime, a player in Arizona just celebrated the Halloween of their life after winning the $174K Fantasy 5 Jackpot.

Elsewhere, the Pennsylvania lottery announced three separate winners of seven-figure prizes. These included a player in Westmoreland County who won $1.2 million from Match 6 Lotto, a player in Berks County who won $1 million from Powerball, and a player in Luzerne County who won $1 million from the lottery’s Million Dollar Countdown online game.
