Mega Millions Jackpot Remains Unclaimed, Powerball Top Prize at $133M for Tonight’s Drawing

Another week of exciting lottery gaming awaits as no one won the Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot

Both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots successfully eluded players at the drawings that took place on Friday and Saturday. As a new week of lottery gaming awaits, players hope to change that.

Mega Millions Jackpot Survives & Reaches $60M

The Friday Mega Millions drawing went without a winner. The game experienced a slight lull, which is to be expected considering that two jackpots landed almost in a row.

For context, the а $533 grand prize landed on March 10, making one Illinois player half a billion richer. Then, only two drawings later, a player in Ohio surprised everyone by winning the $60 million prize from the March 17 drawing.

However, the March 20 drawing did not see another jackpot land. In addition to that, no player won the game’s second-tier prize by matching the five white numbers.

Speaking of which, the winning numbers for the March 20 drawing were 11, 20, 51, 55, and 63, plus the gold Mega Ball 4.

A few players did manage to nail four white numbers and the Mega Ball to win the third-tier prize. Four such players won $20,000 each on a 2X multiplier, while two others took home $30,000 each on a 3X multiplier.

The jackpot has now reached $60 million for the Tuesday drawing, with a cash option of $27 million.

Powerball Jackpot Reaches $133M for the Monday Drawing

In the meantime, the Powerball jackpot has now reached $133 million with a one-time lump sum option of $60.3 million. The next drawing is set to take place later today.

The previous drawing was last Saturday and saw no one win either the jackpot, or the game’s second-tier prize of $1 million (or more, depending on Power Play).

However, a whopping 20 players matched four white numbers and the Powerball to win the third-tier prize. These included fifteen who took home $50,000 each, as well as five who won $100,000 instead, thanks to Power Play. The Power Play multiplier was 2X for the March 21 drawing.

The winning numbers for that drawing were, 12, 28, 26, 41, and 59, plus the Powerball 2. If a player had matched all of these numbers, they would have won $123 million or $55.8 million, depending on whether they chose the annuity or the one-time payment.

The next Powerball drawing will take place within several hours of the time of this publication.
