Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $300M Ahead of Next Drawing
Surviving on Friday, the jackpot now surpassed $300 million ahead of its upcoming drawing on Tuesday

An estimated $281 million jackpot was up for grabs from Mega Millions from the popular lottery game’s draw on Friday. The cash option for the grand prize was a whopping $131.5 million. Yet, while many lottery players tried their luck, nobody matched correctly all the winning numbers from the game’s latest draw.
The Grand Prize from the Popular Game Survived Another Draw
The last time an incredibly lucky lottery player won the Mega Millions jackpot was back in September. At the time, a single ticket in Texas matched all winning numbers for a whopping $800 million jackpot. This marked only the third grand prize won for the year.
Now, thanks to the survival of the grand prize on Friday, the jackpot continues to increase. Mega Millions next drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5 at 11 PM. According to the lottery’s website, the jackpot on the upcoming drawing would be an estimated $303 million. The cash option on the other hand, would be a hefty $141.8 million.
The chances of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,5 million. On the other hand, winning $2, which is the lowest prize tier carries a chance of 1 in 37. The popular lottery game’s overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.
No Jackpot or Million-Dollar Prizes Won from the Recent Draw
On Friday, Mega Millions saw winning numbers 11, 22, 42, 46 and 51, along with the gold Mega Ball number 4 drawn. As noted, many tried their luck but failed to match correctly all winning numbers for the game’s jackpot. Surprisingly, nobody matched five white balls for a $1 million prize.
On the bright side, nearly two dozen lucky winners matched four white balls along with the gold Mega Ball from the drawing on Friday. While two players collected a $20,000 Megaplier prize each, the remaining 16 players won the standard $10,000 prize each.
Close to 400 lottery players or 391 to be exact, matched four white balls. From that total, 84 collected a $1,000 Megaplier prize each, while the remaining 307 players took home a $500 prize each.
In Mega Millions, lottery players need to match five white balls between 1 and 70 and one gold Mega Ball between 1 and 25 to win the grand prize. Mega Millions drawings take place on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 PM ET.
