Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders 2025 NFL Odds, Time, and Prediction
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders is the final game of Week 2. The Monday Night Football game will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, on September 15.
As we correctly predicted, the Los Angeles Chargers did not embarrass themselves in Week 1 against the KC Chiefs. Our pick was that they’re going to cover the spread, but they exceeded our expectations: they won the game 27:21.
After the brilliant performance in Sao Paolo, they’re coming back to America. On Monday night, they’ll take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Nevada. Based on the NFL Week 2 odds, they’re likely to win, but we don’t think Pete Carroll’s men should be underestimated.

Los Angeles Chargers In the Mood for Football
The situation in the Los Angeles Chargers’ locker room is probably fantastic after the win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. The Chargers shocked the Chiefs by flipping the script: coach Greg Roman leaned on QB Justin Herbert’s arm instead of the run, and it paid off.
Herbert carved up Kansas City for 318 yards and three touchdowns, with Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston leading the charge. Rookie tackle Joe Alt held the pocket steady, while Derwin James and Daiyan Henley set the tone on defense.
The Chargers looked great in that game and are probably eager to get back in action ASAP. They’re now taking on the Raiders, a team that’s way weaker than their previous opponent. However, if they want to win in Vegas, the Chargers mustn’t underestimate their opponents, especially not given that the Raiders are now led by the most experienced coach in the NFL.
Las Vegas Raiders Mustn’t be Underestimated
Pete Carroll’s Raiders era kicked off in style, with Las Vegas grinding out a 20:13 win over the Patriots in Foxborough. Geno Smith was calm and lethal, torching New England for 362 yards and setting a debut record with nine explosive completions of 20+ yards.
Rookie Ashton Jeanty added the decisive score, while the defense clamped down after halftime, allowing just three points. Truth be told, they had a relatively easy job as the Pats don’t look too powerful offensively in 2025. A much tougher challenge awaits Vegas’ defense in the Week 2 MNF game.
The good news for them is that the game is played on their turf. The Raiders return to Allegiant Stadium, which is the venue where they posted their biggest win since moving from Oakland to Vegas – a 63–21 beatdown of the Chargers back in 2023. The roster has changed since then, but the belief they can deliver against this rival hasn’t.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction
Our prediction is that Chargers vs. Raiders is going to be a very close game. We think the visitors from LA might edge in the end, but they probably won’t win by a huge margin. So rather than backing them to cover the spread, our top pick is Chargers ML.
Pick: Los Angeles Chargers
