Liverpool vs. Leicester 2024-25 Premier League Odds, Time, and Prediction
Liverpool vs. Leicester is a Boxing Day Premier League fixture, which will take place at Anfield

Thirteen – that’s the biggest point deficit overturned in the Premier League. This happened back in the 1997-98 season. More recently, Manchester City overhauled Liverpool’s 10-point advantage in the 2018-19 season.
Ahead of the 18th round of the 2024-25 Premier League, Liverpool have a 12-point advantage over the defending champions, Manchester City, as well as one game in hand. Chelsea and Arsenal are closer, with four and six points fewer than the Reds, meaning that Arne Slot’s men have no luxury to relax.
They need to keep on winning, which is why you can be certain they’re going to go all-in on the 2024 Boxing Day. That’s when they welcome Leicester City at Anfield.

Liverpool Just Can’t Stop Scoring
With 37 goals in 16 games, Liverpool are the highest-scoring Premier League team this season. What’s interesting is that 16 of those goals happened in their last five league games. In their most recent game, they scored six against Tottenham in London.
That sure is impressive, but their defense has been conceding quite a lot of goals lately, as well. In fact, they allowed 10 goals in their last five Premier League games.
That’s surprising, given that their first-choice goalkeeper, Alisson, was between the posts in two of those. After missing a month and a half due to a hamstring injury, we saw the Brazilian goalie concede five goals in the two games upon his return. Will he do better in the Boxing Day game?
Leicester City Could Be In Trouble
Last weekend, the Foxes lost to Wolves, one of their main rivals in the battle to avoid relegation. The worst thing is that the boys from Wolverhampton destroyed them 3:0. A week before that, Newcastle did something similar – they beat Leicester 4:0.
Not scoring against Newcastle isn’t embarrassing because the Toffees are famous for having a good defense. However, they’re not famous for scoring a lot of goals, so allowing four is a bit worrying.
What’s even more concerning is that the Foxes failed to score against Wolves, the team with the worst defense in the Premier League – 40 goals conceded in 17 games.
Liverpool vs. Leicester Prediction
Liverpool haven’t lost a single Boxing Day game since 2013, when they lost to Man City on the road. A fun fact is that they’re without a single Boxing Day loss at Anfield in the Premier League era.
Our prediction is that Leicester City won’t change that. In fact, we think Liverpool will demolish them, probably scoring three or more goals on Thursday.
