Why Do UFC 320 Odds Favor Jiri Prochazka?
Jiri Prochazka is 37-5-1 overall with 27 wins by KO/TKO and three by submission. Only two of his fights went the distance – he lost one of those, while the other one ended in a draw.
When it comes to his losses inside the distance, he got TKO-ed by Alex Pereira on two occasions, each time in a fight for the title. Those two defeats remain his only losses since joining the UFC in 2020.
The Czech fighter’s favorite weapon is kickboxing, which has brought him a lot of success over the years. The trouble is that he’s now facing a guy who’s a real expert when it comes to Muay Thai.
Reasons Why Khalil Rountree Is Our Top UFC 320 Pick
Khalil Rountree used to be overweight in his teenage years and early 20s, but then he discovered Muay Thai. Not only did he get in shape, but he became a real master of this combat sport.
From Muay Thai, “The War Horse” switched to MMA, making his professional debut in 2014. Two years later, he took part in The Ultimate Fighter, and despite failing to win the series, he won a UFC contract.
His debut in Dana White’s promotion started with a loss to Tyson Pedro, who beat him by submission. But then, he went on to beat Paul Craig, Gokhan Saki, Modestas Bukauskas, Karl Roberson, Chris Daukaus, and Anthony Smith, all by KO/TKO.
This earned him a shot at the title against Alex Pereira in 2024. Rountree put on a good fight, but near the end of the fourth round, he had to give up – “Poatan” won that fight by TKO.
The good news for Rountree’s fans is that he bounced back with a win over Jamahal Hill in summer 2025. It was a unanimous win in a fight in which he fought smart, not letting his opponent hurt him much. We think he might employ the same strategy against Prochazka.
Jiri Prochazka vs. Khalil Rountree Prediction
Rountree is aware of the threat that Prochazka’s fists have. The Czech fighter has the ability to knock him out, which is why Rountree will take a more tactical approach in the UFC 320 fight. He’s going to try to tire out his opponent with body shots and leg kicks. If he lands enough – and avoids getting KO-ed – he’s gonna get a win by decision.
