Jersey 5 Mints 48th Winner for the Year as Player Grabs $1M

The player revealed that they dreamt about winning the lottery only to wake up and realize the dream had come true

Roughly a week after GamblingNews reported that a New Jersey local had secured a $150,000 jackpot from the lottery’s Jersey Cash 5 game, another player claimed a $1 million prize from the same game.

The Winner Secured a Life-Changing Prize

According to the lottery’s announcement, a player won the latest Jersey Cash 5 jackpot, taking a prize of $1,039,075 home. The win happened thanks to the player’s strong foresight, which helped them to correctly pick all five winning numbers for the Wednesday drawing.

For context, the winning numbers for the September 10 drawing were 08, 17, 26, 38, and 43. The XTRA number, on the other hand, was 02.

The lottery added that Robin’s Convenience Store Deli & Grill in Beachwood, the store where the winning ticket was sold, will receive a $2,000 bonus.

The Player Says They Had a Dream about Winning

The lottery said that the winner chose to remain anonymous. Despite that, they spoke with the lottery about their experience with winning the prize.

The player revealed that they went to sleep, only to dream of winning the lottery. After waking up at around 3:30 am, the player went to check the numbers on their computer. It was then that they understood that their dream had come true and that they had truly won a life-changing prize.

The fortunate player added that they plan to use the prize money to renovate their home and pay bills.

For context, this is the 48th Jersey Cash 5 jackpot for the year and the 8th to exceed the $1 million threshold. After the win, the jackpot has been reset to $150,000.

In the meantime, two players in Michigan just won mouth-watering prizes. These included a Fantasy 5 player who won the $481,582 jackpot, as well as a Powerball player who thought he won $50,000, only to realize he had Power Play active and took $150,000 home.
