Jared Cannonier vs. Gregory Rodrigues UFC Fight Night 251 Odds, Time, and Prediction
Jared Cannonier vs. Gregory Rodrigues is the main event of UFC Fight Night 251, which will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday, February 15

If you’re not crazy about UFC Apex events, UFC Fight Night 251 may convince you otherwise. It’s all because of its headliner bout – Jared Cannonier vs. Gregory Rodrigues.
These guys are famous for being true warriors who throw everything they’ve got at their opponents. Plus, neither Killa Gorilla nor Robocop are afraid to get hurt.
That said, Cannonier vs. Rodrigues looks like a potential Fight of the Night, but who’s going to win this clash? Judging by the UFC Fight Night 251 odds, it’s Robocop. Let’s see if the oddsmakers are right.
Jared Cannonier vs. Gregory Rodrigues Odds

Gregory Rodrigues | -190 |
When, Where, and How to Watch?
- Place: UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada
- Date: Saturday, February 15, 2025
- Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
- How to Watch: ESPN+
Jared Cannonier Looking to Redeem Himself After Two Losses
Jared Cannonier is 17-8, which is a pretty impressive record, especially given that 18 of those fights were in the UFC. The problem is that Killa Gorilla is turning 41 in a month’s time.
An even bigger problem is that he’s coming to Vegas after two straight losses. Another loss and he could decide it’s time to retire. On the bright side, those two losses happened against respectable opponents – and Cannonier did not embarrass himself in those fights.
Nassourdine Imavov beat him last June by a TKO, but only in the fourth round. Two months later, Cannonier lost to Caio Borralho by decision in a 5-round war that won the Fight of the Night bonus.
Gregory Rodrigues to Bring Himself in the Spotlight
MMA fans seem to love Robocop because he’s a relentless fighter with all kinds of weapons in his arsenal. Rodrigues is a former national champ in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and his wrestling skills are incredible, the evidence being that he lands 2.74 takedowns per 15 minutes on average. Plus, this guy has a TD defense of 100%.

Still, the reason why everyone loves this guy is that he’s a hell of a striker who doesn’t mind getting hit. He lands 5.52 significant strikes per minute and gets hit 4.69 times. It’s something similar when it comes to Cannonier, which is why we expect to witness a bloody battle on February 15.
Oddsmakers think Robocop will win this battle and we understand why that is the case. Rodrigues is 16-5 overall, with three wins in a row. However, he’s never fought against such an elite opponent as Cannonier.
Jared Cannonier vs. Gregory Rodrigues Prediction
At almost 41 years of age, Cannonier is in a situation where one fight could make him or break him. If he loses to Robocop, his career could come to an end. On the other hand, if he wins – especially if he does it spectacularly – we could see him get to fight a title eliminator fight in the near future.
That said, we think he’s going to go all-in on February 15. And when he does that, he usually wins.
Pick: Jared Cannonier
