Ireland on the Lookout for Gambling Authority Executive Officer

The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) has initiated a search for an executive officer who would support the organization’s activities. The authority has invited people with the necessary experience to apply via its official website.
GRAI Is Seeking an Executive Officer
In its official announcement, the GRAI noted that it is seeking to establish a panel at executive officer (standard scale) level. Ireland’s gambling regulator further clarified that the role of an executive officer within its organization would be to contribute to the “effective delivery of the organization’s functions across its regulatory, operational, and support activities.”
The GRAI stated that its future executive officer will be tasked with providing support in multiple areas and assisting with the authority’s regulatory initiatives.
They will be responsible for contributing to the development and fulfilment of the Gambling Regulatory Authorities strategic objectives and supporting the functions of the Authority where required.

What Is the Authority Looking for?
Among other things, the executive officer will have a role in policymaking, overseeing regulatory processes, drafting reports and other documentation, managing internal and external communications, and assisting with the organization of a variety of meetings and events.
The executive officer will further be expected to take part in the GRAI’s research initiatives and recordkeeping. They will also be expected to support line managers and colleagues in a range of sensitive work areas and contribute to cross-functional teams and organizational objectives.
The GRAI expects applicants to be Level 7 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications and have at least 3 years of experience in a relevant field. Candidates should furthermore be tech-savvy, be able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities, and have a track record of collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Desirable qualities include professional certification, familiarity with public service values and governance principles, and understanding of gambling regulation.
