Inter Miami are Taking 2025 Leagues Cup Seriously

It seems that the 2025 Leagues Cup is Inter Miami’s top priority right now. The evidence of this is that after beating UNAM Pumas 3:1, they suffered a 4:1 loss in the Florida Derby in the MLS. Practically all of their players who beat Pumas featured in the game against Orlando City but failed to do much.

This even goes for Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Rodrigo de Paul, who were sensational in the Leagues Cup Game. Against their state-based rival, all three of them were horrible.

On the bright side, the Inter Miami vs. Orlando City game saw the return of the Herons’ first-choice goalkeeper, Oscar Ustari. He too had a poor game, conceding four goals. However, it’s because his teammates allowed Orlando to create way too many scoring opportunities. That said, the fact that he went 8-for-12 with his saves is actually a pretty good performance.

UANL Tigres are In Goal-Scoring Mood

In the three games of the 2025 Leagues Cup they’ve played so far, UANL Tigres scored a total of seven goals. The former Atletico Madrid playmaker Angel Correa was the man who scored four of those.

Then, in their first game in the 2025 Liga MX after a two-week break, UANL Tigres demolished Puebla 7:0. Correa scored once and made one assist, while the remaining goals were the work of Ozziel Herrera, Diego Lainez, Juan Francisco Brunetta, and Andre-Pierre Gignac.
