IGT Awarded Three Jackpots of Over a Million in May

Wheel of Fortune games have so far minted over 1,200 millionaires, according to IGT

International Game Technology (IGT), a leader in gaming content and solutions, announced that its Wheel of Fortune and Powerbucks series has awarded three more jackpots in May. According to the company, three separate players, including two US citizens and one Canadian, won jackpots of over a million dollars.

Three Huge Jackpots to Three Lucky Players

IGT’s latest announcement stated that three lucky players in North America have scooped up life-changing prizes while enjoying the company’s top games.

The May jackpot session was opened by a lucky player in Arizona who won $1,033,590 playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Red Hot 7s Gold Spin. The win happened on May 3 at Gila River Resorts & Casinos – Santan Mountain in Chandler.

Two weeks later, a player in Canada also struck gold while playing IGT’s games. IGT reported that, on May 17, an online Powerbucks slots player in Ontario scooped up a CAD 1,281,026 ($935,612) prize. The company clarified that the player in question won the mouth-watering jackpot from Wheel of Fortune Diamonds Deluxe Date Night.

Finally, on May 23, a Wheel of Fortune slots player secured $1,816,406 playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Red Hot 7s Gold Spin at Michael Gaughan Airport Slots at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. This win not only cemented Wheel of Fortune’s reputation for awarding life-changing jackpots but also highlighted the famous Nevada airport as a place to win big.

IGT Continues to Make Millionaires

IGT added that its Wheel of Fortune slots have so far minted over 1,200 millionaires. In total, the series has awarded over $3.6 billion on jackpots since its launch in 1996.

In the meantime, the Powerbucks slots, which IGT launched in Canada in 2016, have awarded over 67 jackpots of over CAD 1 million so far.

IGT Poised to Reobtain Italian Lotto Concession

In the meantime, IGT recently said that it is poised to reobtain its Italian Lotto concession, potentially spelling bad news for Flutter, which had challenged the provider for the license. As one of Europe’s largest gaming markets, Italy remains a key market for gaming companies, promoting Flutter’s bid for the oldest Lotto license in the country.

However, IGT said that the Judging Commission was set to propose LottoItalia, an IGT-led consortium, to the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM), as the next license holder.

The ADM will make its decision within the next few weeks.
