iGaming Ontario Welcomes Heidi Reinhart as Chair
Forestell will depart from his current position to serve as the new chairman of the AGCO

iGaming Ontario has unveiled a new addition to its leadership. As announced, the organization will welcome the experienced Heidi Reinhart as its new chair.
In her new position, Reinhart will replace Dave Forestell, iGaming Ontario’s current chairman. As announced earlier, Forestell will depart from his current position to serve as the new chairman of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
Forestell was named as chair of iGaming Ontario back in July 2021. During his time with the organization, he exhibited strong leadership qualities, helping it responsibly grow Ontario’s fresh competitive iGaming market.
iGaming Ontario released a statement on the change in leadership, thanking Forestell for his guidance and welcoming Reinhart on board.
iGaming Ontario welcomes Ms. Reinhart and extends a sincere thank you to Mr. Forestell for his leadership of this agency from its inception.

Reinhart Will Support Ontario’s Industry
As Forestell’s successor, Reinhart will be responsible for continuing his mission to develop the province’s iGaming market. To that end, she will leverage her vast legal experience.
Boasting a dual law degree from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, Reinhart is a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright where she practices securities and corporate law. In addition to that, iGaming Ontario’s new chair is a member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Securities Advisory Committee and the Toronto Stock Exchange Listing Advisory Committee.
Reinhart became a member of AGCO’s board of directors in 2020. In 2023, Reinhart received the King’s Counsel designation.
Prior to her current positions, Reinhart served as a board member of Volunteer Toronto, a charity volunteer center in Toronto. Earlier, she volunteered at the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society, the Hospital for Sick Children. In her early career, Reinhart served as a caseworker and group advisor at Community Legal Aid in Windsor.
Ontario Is One of the Most Promising iGaming Markets in NA
In June 2023, iGaming Ontario’s executive director Martha Otton provided an update on the performance of the local online casino market. While she didn’t disclose exact figures, Otton said that the year-over-year results were expected to be more than three times bigger.
Deloitte’s “Economic Contributions of Ontario’s Regulated iGaming Market” report, on the other hand, claimed that the economic impact of the Ontarian iGaming industry stood at CA$1.6 billion. The report noted that the industry currently supports 12,000 full-time jobs across the province.
It was also disclosed that an average employee in iGaming earns $103,000 a year, which is 41% higher than the average salary in Ontario.
