IC360 Names Former Betway Director Jon Russell as Senior Adviser

The leading integrity and compliance services provider within the regulated gaming industry, Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360), has announced the appointment of Jon Russell, a former Betway Group director and past chair of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), as its newest senior adviser. 

Russell brings a wealth of expertise to the role, gained from nearly three decades in the betting and gaming industry.

Russell’s career highlights include over a decade at Betway, where he started as a global head of trading in 2013. 

In this position, which he held for nine years and 10 months, he managed and organized the company’s multi-jurisdiction Sports Trading function during its rapid growth and expansion.

Between August 2023 and August 2024, Russel advanced to the director position, focusing on “developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance performance, growth, and innovation across the business.”

While helping the Super Group-owned firm grow, Russel also chaired the IBIA from 2019 to 2024 from its headquarters in Brussels, overseeing efforts to uphold integrity in sports betting.

Before his tenure at Betway, Russell held influential roles across several major companies. He spent nearly 13 years leading football trading operations, first with Sporting Index’s fixed-odds division, Sporting Odds, and then under Sportingbet after its acquisition in 2002. 

The University of Leicester graduate with an MA in Sociology of Sport also held positions at William Hill, Spreadex, Victor Chandler, and Ladbrokes, cementing his reputation as a seasoned professional.

Between 1988 and 1992, Russel attended the University of Sussex, where he studied American Studies and Political Science (BA Hons). Between 1990 and 1991, he studied American Studies, Political Science, and Government at UC San Diego.

The new senior advisor added that he was looking forward to “contributing to IC360’s continued international growth and safeguarding the integrity of sports competition at all levels.”

IC360’s chief operating officer, Scott Sadin, highlighted the significance of Russell’s addition to the team, saying they were pleased to welcome him and speak about his “impressive skillset and ability to navigate the sports integrity industry in various jurisdictions.”

Russell’s appointment follows the recent addition of Bill Pascrell III as a special adviser to IC360. 

The company described the Entain Foundation US board trustee as “one of the nation’s top experts” in sports betting and casino operations.
