Huffman Player Wins $1M from Texas Lottery Scratch-off Ticket
The win came shortly after a Missouri City resident won $2 million from a separate game
A Texas Lottery player in Huffman has won $1 million from one of the lottery’s scratch-off games. This came not too long after a separate player won an even greater prize from a different game.
Huffman Player Becomes Texas’ Latest Millionaire
On March 23, the Texas Lottery announced that the Huffman player won his mouth-watering prize on a Casino Millions scratch-off ticket. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, visited the lottery to claim his winnings.
Officials learned that the winning ticket was sold at Huffman Express, located at 25705 FM 2100 Road, in Huffman. The store is now eligible to receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, as per the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program.
Officials noted that this was notably Casino Millions’ top prize, and the first top prize to land, at that. At launch, the game had 10 prizes of $1 million, meaning that there are 9 more that have yet to be claimed.
In total, the Casino Millions game offers $195.3 million in prizes. The odds of winning any prize, including break-evens, are 1 in 3.45.
Missouri City Resident Won $2M
As mentioned, this win was announced several days after a resident of Missouri City scooped up the top prize from a different game, thus finding themselves $2 million richer. The player in question had bought a Golden Riches ticket, winning the second of the four top prizes of $2 million.
Like the Huffman player, the Missouri City winner also elected to remain anonymous. However, lottery officials noted that the winning ticket was purchased at Murphy Express 8806, located at 12250 Southwest Freeway, in Meadows Place. The store is likewise eligible for a $10,000 bonus.
As mentioned, the $2 million prize won by the Missouri City player was the second top prize to be claimed in this game. There are therefore two more prizes of $2 million up for grabs.
At launch, the game featured $181.2 million in total prizes, with the overall odds of winning any prize, including break-even prizes, being 1 in 3.76.
In other news, the Texas Lottery recently awarded its second-largest Two-Step jackpot in history.
