Gold Strike Casino Resort Workers Join Teamsters Local 667

The workers at Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi, have unionized, becoming part of the broader Teamsters Local 667 family. As a result, the Memphis-based organization will now represent the Tunica casino employees, ensuring that they are being treated fairly.

Teamsters Local 667 Welcomes Hundreds of New Members

According to Teamsters Local 667’s report, workers at Gold Strike Casino Resort have voted in favor of unionization through a card-check majority. The organization confirmed that the employees at the gambling property signed their authorization cards, effectively becoming Teamsters.

As a result, some 280 casino employees, such as housekeepers, food and beverage workers, and cocktail waitresses, have now secured stronger union representation. Thanks to this, they have gained more traction in their fight for higher wages, better benefits, and improved working conditions, Teamsters Local 667 pointed out.

For context, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters was founded in 1903. Since then, it has grown significantly, now representing some 1.3 million people across the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

In December 2025, Horseshoe Casino Indianapolis also unionized, joining the Teamsters Local 135.
