GiG Names iGaming and Finance Powerhouse Matthew Saxon as CTO
Saxon is a proven technical leader with decades of experience in the online gaming and financial sectors
Gaming Innovation Group, (GiG) has reinforced its technology team with the appointment of the experienced Matthew Saxon as its new chief technology officer for Platform & Sportsbook. This is in line with the division’s recent efforts to reinforce its senior leadership under Platform & Sportsbook CEO Richard Carter.
According to GiG, Saxon is a proven technical leader with decades of experience in the online gaming and financial sectors. His impressive track record includes executive positions at a number of notable companies, including Sportradar and PWC.
GiG believes that Saxon’s profound technical expertise and commercial acumen make him a perfect fit for the position. His past of delivering “scalable, innovative and agile tech solutions” poises him to become a key figure in developing GiG’s platform, sportsbook and AI-driven tools, the company added.
As mentioned, the addition of the new hire to the team comes amid GiG Platform & Sportsbook’s efforts to fulfill its technical vision. In his new role, Saxon will lead and inspire the ongoing development of the company’s innovative solutions and features. The appointment will also contribute to the company’s goals for production-focused growth amid continued investments in its product and tech capabilities.
Saxon Is Looking Forward to Supporting GiG’s Growth
Richard Carter, the chief executive for Platform & Sportsbook at GiG, welcomed Saxon on board, lauding his appointment as a “significant step” toward helping the company reach “the high bar” it has set for itself.

In other news, GiG just announced the completion of an $81 million senior secured bond issue. According to the company, this money will help GiG call its outstanding bond and fund the acquisition of KaFe Rocks.
