GGPoker Offers “Olive Branch” to Banned Players
GGPoker’s new Olive Branch Initiative will allow previously banned players to apply for reinstatement by October 1, for a rare shot at redemption

GGPoker, the world’s largest online poker platform, has announced it will allow banned players to turn over a new leaf via the new Olive Branch Initiative. The program has been designed to offer a second chance to players who have violated network rules, which led to their removal, or players who believe have been wrongfully banned.
“Redemption Is Possible When Genuine Change Occurs”
The big announcement reiterated the platform’s “zero-tolerance stance” against all activities that violate their Security and Ecology Policy, as well as their “unwavering commitment” to protecting the community, which “has resulted in the permanent removal of violators”.
“We stand by this approach because fair play is fundamental to everything we do,” the company added.
However, GGPoker also recognizes that players who “once contributed unsportsmanlike behavior” can grow, learn from past mistakes, and develop “a genuine commitment to fair play.”
The program’s carefully structured reinstatement path reflects the platform’s belief that “redemption is possible when genuine change occurs.”
Limited Time for Applications
Banned players interested in filing an application must send it via email at [email protected] using the original email address they used to register their account with the subject line “Olive Branch Application.” Applications must include the player’s full name as well as their nickname on the GGPoker Network, a detailed explanation for seeking reinstatement, and a selfie with proof of identity and address.
Every application will be reviewed thoroughly and individually to ensure reinstated players contribute positively to the poker community.
There is a limited window for application submissions, as all entries must be received by October 1. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by November 1. GGPoker emphasized that reinstatement is not guaranteed and will depend on the original violation, which can include anything from using multiple accounts, VPNs, or collusions, the time that has passed, and the applicant’s demonstration of genuine change.
“The Olive Branch Program doesn’t change GGPoker’s fundamental commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fair play and security. We’ll continue enforcing our Security and Ecology Policy with the same rigor that makes GGPoker trusted worldwide,” the company said.
