Gaming Compliance International (GCI), which launched earlier this summer, has purchased Yield Sec for an undisclosed figure and will fold the company’s technology, workflows, and staff into its broader compliance operations.
GCI Buys Yield Sec
GCI stated that Yield Sec will become a central component of its service portfolio, reinforcing the company’s broader goal of delivering cutting-edge regulatory technology and improved marketplace transparency to the global gaming sector. According to GCI, integrating Yield Sec’s proprietary systems and process-management tools will further strengthen its AI-driven technology stack, adding enhanced market-monitoring capabilities and improved tools for combating illicit gaming activity. The expanded platform, GCI noted, is designed to provide actionable intelligence and oversight solutions that support responsible governance without disrupting legitimate gaming operations.
Yield Sec originated from a military-grade anti-terrorism and counterinsurgency technology stack, repurposed to identify, understand, value, and act on commercial opportunities, consumer safety needs, and community protections in online consumer markets. The company’s mission is to help clients transition away from criminal activity and toward compliant operations that support lawful commerce and community well-being.
Yield Sec GAMBLING was specifically developed for regulated iGaming, sports betting, and lottery environments. It enables operators to counter criminal activity and combat the estimated $5 trillion in losses annually to illegal online gambling and the related harm it causes.
Officials Talk About the Deal
Yield Sec founder and CEO Ismail Vali will transition into the role of president at GCI, a move that comes a little more than five years after he established the company in July 2020. He stated that joining GCI marks the next phase in Yield Sec’s mission to combat black-market activity and safeguard the integrity of regulated gaming. Vali also emphasized that Yield Sec was created to give regulators and operators a full view of the online marketplace and to empower them to act with confidence.
He added that becoming part of GCI builds on this foundation by broadening the company’s capacity to support clients across commerce, communities, and consumers. According to Vali, the core objective remains unchanged: to ensure a sustainable, compliant, and equitable marketplace that benefits all stakeholders.
Meanwhile, GCI CEO Matt Holt expressed pride in welcoming Ismail Vali and the entire Yield Sec team to the company. He noted that Yield Sec’s innovative platform for effective and efficient disruption will become a key element of GCI’s capabilities, giving regulators and operators an unprecedented level of visibility and actionable insight across the full online gaming landscape.
