Plaintiff Withdraws Class Action Against FanDuel

In the meantime, Flutter’s FanDuel brand reached what could turn out to be a temporary halt to a legal battle in California.

The lawsuit in question related to FanDuel’s daily fantasy sports contests, which plaintiffs argued are illegal. The complaint alleged violations California’s Unfair Competition Law, the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and the state’s criminal code. However, the plaintiff has now decided to drop the case, although this decision might only be temporary.
