Flutter Names Cheryl Bosi as Chief People Officer for UK & Ireland

Global sports betting, gaming and entertainment provider Flutter Entertainment has made a new appointment to its C-suite, naming the experienced Cheryl Bosi as its new chief people officer for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In her new position, Bosi will leverage years of corporate and HR experience to support the company’s team. Her impressive track record includes tenures with many finance-related companies, such as the British bank Northern Rock where she began her career.

In 2012, Bosi joined Virgin Money as a senior HR business partner and was eventually promoted to the position of chief of staff. Following the stint with Virgin Money, Flutter’s new appointee joined Lloyds Banking Group as HR director.

In 2020, Bosi moved to HSBC UK, where she served as head of HR. Her impressive experience in managing human resources will be of great help to Flutter, which continues to target further expansion.

Bosi Is Glad to Join a Gambling Leader

Bosi commented on the matter on LinkedIn, announcing her new position. She said that she is delighted to join Flutter Entertainment, which she praised as a leading gambling company with an “unparalleled portfolio of premium brands.”

The hire praised FanDuel, Sky Betting & Gaming, Sportsbet and Paddy Power Betfair as gambling brands that use cutting-edge technology to drive innovation, collaboration and creativity.

Bosi added:

Bosi also thanked everyone at HSBC for allowing her to build and lead a “first-class HR team.” She added that she misses some of her old colleagues already and thanked them for their continued support.

In other news, Flutter Entertainment recently announced plans to shift its primary listing from London to New York, hoping to capitalize on the fast-growing US market and attract new retail investors. The matter is set to be decided through a scheduled shareholder vote on May 1.

The listing in New York is expected to bolster Flutter’s profitability as the company continues to be weighed by loss, despite impressive revenue figures.
