Florida Lottery Renews Partnership with Scientific Games
Per the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership program, the provider will supply the lottery operator with a “robust assortment of products and services”
Lottery provider Scientific Games unveiled an extension of its Scratch-Offs partnership with the Florida Lottery. Under the agreement, the former company will continue to power the Florida Lottery with content, allowing it to generate more funding for local education.
Scientific Games Will Continue to Power the Lottery
As announced by Scientific Games, the Florida Lottery has opted to continue the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership program for three additional years. Thanks to this, Scientific Games will continue to boost lottery sales.
Per the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership program, the provider will supply the lottery operator with a “robust assortment of products and services,” including the following:
- Real-time analytics and insights
- Portfolio management and game planning
- Licensed brand services
- Advanced logistics
- Retail optimization
- Second chance programs
This will expand Scientific Games’ long-term relationship with the Florida Lottery, bolstering its sales and allowing it to continue to generate funding for local schools, colleges and universities. In addition to that, some of the money raised by the lottery goes into the state’s Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
Scientific Games has served as the exclusive or primary supplier of Florida Lottery Scratch-Offs since the lottery’s beginnings in 1988. In 1997, the Florida Lottery expanded its deal to a full partnership, also benefitting from Scientific Games’ instant game management program.
The two have so far partnered for some 37 years, resulting in continued growth for the lottery.
Executives Applauded the Extended Deal
John F. Davis, secretary of the Florida Lottery, commented on the extended Scratch-Offs deal, praising Scientific Games for helping the lottery generate money for education.
Our mission is to maximize revenues for the enhancement of public education in Florida, which have totaled more than $48 billion thus far. Since 1997, we’ve helped send more than one million Florida students to college on a Bright Futures Scholarship.
John F. Davis, secretary, Florida Lottery
According to Davis, the deal with Scientific Games puts students’ dreams of higher education “within reach.”
In the meantime, John Schulz, Scientific Games’ president for the Americas and global instant products, said that the deal with the Florida Lottery stands out as one of his team’s more successful deals in the world.
Schulz explained that the collaboration has resulted in consistent growth, adding:
We’re very proud that our work together has continually improved instant game profits to benefit education in Florida.

For reference, Scientific Games has previously supplied a variety of cutting-edge titles to the lottery, including licensed property-themed games. The MONOPOLY and LOTERIA brands, in particular, have resonated very strongly with local audiences.
In other news, Scientific Games just backed Flutter Entertainment’s bid for Italy’s oldest lottery license. Facing off against powerhouse IGT, Flutter hopes to grab this valuable license and expand its business in the country.
