Drake Dismisses ‘Curse’ Rumors, Calls His Betting Flawed

Drake curse – what Drake curse?

Canadian rapper Aubrey Drake Graham, or simply Drake, has commented on the humorous Internet discussions circulating around that some of his betting choices were the reason why teams and players lost games in athletic competitions.

Drake Doesn’t Believe in Curses – Admits His Sports Betting Is Not Ideal

Drake has been aware of such jokes, as some athletes have swiped at him, thanking him for betting against them to “guarantee” their wins. The examples of such dramatic outcomes.

Dricus Du Plessis did not hesitate to roast Drake for betting against him, and so did many others. The Internet has adopted the “Drake curse” to exemplify the trend where Drake would bet a person or a team through a large, usually six-figure bet, and then end up losing.

The rapper is now addressing these discussions, arguing that there is hardly a thing called the “Drake curse.” In a sobering moment of self-reflection and matter-of-fact exposé, Drake simply argued that there was no such thing as him being cursed or being able to afflict others.

It was much simpler, he noted – he was a flawed sports bettor, and that was the long and short of it, Drake added. He also appeared just a little miffed at the implication and said that, ultimately, sports were not something he personally participated in, meaning the games that he would bet on were outside of his control.

How Could There Be a Curse If the Man Wins?

However, Drake has generally kept his spirits high at the mention of the “curse,” laughing it off in most instances. After all, how could there be a curse if Drake has backed his home team, the Toronto Raptors, to win the 2019 NBA Championship, and they did win.

Would that be the case if the man were cursed, he often asks rhetorically? Recently, Drake has enjoyed a bit of luck gambling-wise. He turned up at the Crown Resorts in Australia and won AU$700,000 in January.
