DraftKings Strikes a Deal with Yuengling Brewery

Sports betting giant DraftKings has agreed on a partnership with America’s oldest brewery, D.G. Yuengling & Son.
Yuengling & Son Are the DraftKings Tournament’s Official Sponsor
Yuengling & Son and DraftKings have announced they have entered an official agreement. With this collaboration, the companies aim to bring fans together through people’s love of sports and beer as well as hold various contests, give away prizes and organize events all year round. The present partnership is the brewery’s first-ever deal with a daily fantasy sports operator.
Yuengling & Son has also been named DraftKings’ exclusive “Basketball Tournament Bracket Challenge” sponsor, which will feature a $50,000 prize.
Wendy Yuengling, the sixth-generation Yuengling to be a chief administrative officer, expressed her excitement for the agreement and the opportunity for creating unforgettable moments together with DraftKings.
“This collaboration is a natural fit given that most Americans look forward to rooting for their favorite college basketball teams while drinking an ice-cold Yuengling beer!”

DraftKings to Introduce the “Yuengling Saturday Series” Contest
With the beginning of the college football season 2021, the companies aim to introduce a unique college football fantasy series timed with every Saturday game of the regular season. The “Yuengling Saturday Series” will be a free-entry contest.
In September 2021, DraftKings also plans to offer fans prediction contests during football games. The contests will be customizable and will allow supporters to dive into the game in a relaxed and fun way.
As part of the collaboration, Yuengling will also use DraftKings’ logo to encourage fans to anticipate free sweepstakes and expect DraftKings-branded point-of-sale items, which will be available in all 22 states where Yuengling has displays of Black & Tan and Golden Pilsner, Lager, and Light Lager.
Yuengling to Utilize the DraftKings Logo at Its Displays
Players must sign up before the first tournament game, on March 14, 2021, to participate. Registration can be done through customers’ existing DraftKings account or on the company’s website. Details can also be found on premises that serve Yuengling Traditional Lager.
Meanwhile, DraftKings expected long-term earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) have increased from $1 billion to $1.7 billion. The operator suspects the legalization of iGaming across markets, along with the increasing popularity of daily fantasy sports and sports betting, has led to a rise in its customers.
