Dr. Harry Crane Joins American Bettors’ Voice Advisory Board
American Bettors' Voice, founded by professional sports bettors Gadoon "Spanky" Kryollos and Billy Walters alongside gaming industry expert Richard Scheutz, aims to address the challenges faced by bettors in the evolving landscape of US sports betting

American Bettors’ Voice (ABV), a fresh advocacy group in the sports betting world, has added Dr. Harry Crane to its advisory board.
Dr. Harry Crane Will Help Tackle the Complexities of the Evolving US Sports Betting Landscape
ABV, which professional sports bettors Gadoon “Spanky” Kryollos and Billy Walters started with gaming industry expert Richard Scheutz, wants to tackle the issues that bettors meet in the changing US sports betting scene. Dr. Crane, who teaches at Rutgers University, brings deep knowledge of statistical analysis, betting exchanges, and prediction markets to the ABV.
Crane boasts a strong academic record, with degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Chicago. He now works as a Professor of Statistics at Rutgers University and has ties to the university’s Graduate Program in Philosophy. His research has led to some big opportunities, including a spot as a visiting scholar at the University of California Berkeley, a fellowship at the London Mathematical Institute, and a role as an associate at the RAND Corporation.
Crane joining the ABV board happens as the group aims to give better insight into the tricky world of sports betting rules and number crunching. Many people who bet on sports have a hard time with too much information and legal roadblocks making it tough to get into the betting scene. The ABV thinks Crane’s deep know-how in these areas will help them cut through the confusion and give bettors more solid advice on the problems they run into.
Crane’s Expertise Set to Illuminate Key Issues and Improve Guidance
Crane knows his way around the betting scene. He helped start Analytics.Bet, a learning platform that gives bettors tools to better understand sports betting. The site offers online classes taught by a team of experts, to help bettors sharpen their methods and make smarter choices. He also had a hand in creating Researchers. One, a place where scholarly work gets reviewed by peers before being shared.
ABV pushes for policies that help bettors. They want faster payouts fewer limits on winners, and fairer rules. The group does not approve of the current rules. The ABV says bettors did not have much say in making them. By bringing Crane on board, ABV hopes to give a clearer view of these problems. Crane joins other board members like Brett Smiley, Brianne Doura-Schawohl, and Susan Hensel. These people bring different skills from sports betting, rule-making, and gaming worlds.
