DAZN Allies with Polymarket to Incorporate Prediction Markets into Its Platform

Sports entertainment giant DAZN has unveiled a new tie-up with leading prediction market operator Polymarket. According to the former company’s announcement, the arrangement will “bring the excitement of prediction markets to the millions of DAZN users.”
The Partnership Brings Together Two Market Leaders
Prediction markets are a novel form of entertainment that allows users to buy and sell contracts based on the outcomes of a variety of events, including sports, political and legal developments, pop culture happenings, and others. As a fast-growing vertical, prediction markets have been fascinating entertainment industry enthusiasts for quite a while, prompting partnerships between event contracts platforms and famous media, tech, and gaming brands.
By joining forces with Polymarket, DAZN will be able to engage with prediction markets directly, incorporating such offerings into its platform and adding a new layer of excitement to the experience of fervent sports aficionados.
The addition will complement DAZN’s impressive portfolio of tools and solutions, which allow users to benefit from live and on-demand sports viewing, real-time scores, news, and FanZone. The DAZN ecosystem also includes the DAZN Bet brand, which allows players to place exciting sports wagers.
DAZN to Apply for CFTC Permissions, Launch in Other Markets
In order to incorporate prediction products into its platform, DAZN will apply for the relevant CFTC licenses. If approved, the company will introduce prediction trading in the United States within a few months. Depending on the regulatory environment, DAZN may add such products to its platform in other countries, too.
Until DAZN secures the aforementioned license, it will integrate Polymarket data into its live sports broadcasts, keeping fans informed of the shifting probabilities.

Representatives hailed the agreement, saying that it reflects both companies’ commitment to delivering cutting-edge entertainment.
Shayne Coplan, Polymarket’s founder and chief executive officer, explained that prediction markets are all about giving fans a glimpse into the future. He added that the partnership with DAZN will allow the latter company to incorporate these probabilities into its products.
