Colorado Man Who Used to Live Rough Has U-Turn in Life with $1M Jackpot Win

A man who was down on his luck would have a second chance at a decent life after he won the 200X scratch game in Colorado. 

The winner, one Jonathan G, used to live rough, but his luck was beginning to turn around – he just didn’t know how much. 

First, he secured a day job, which allowed him to get back on his feet, but the job was often frustrating.

Then, he got a $20 ticket payout, which resulted in the coveted seven-figure payout, which will now offer him a chance to get housing, secure a job, and very likely never have to return to the streets ever again.

Jonatha’s story is all the more impressive, given how hard it is to hit this specific jackpot, with the odds set at 1 in 840,000 – a one in a million chance, as it were. The winner admitted that although he did buy $5 tickets, he was cautious with how he spent his money on the lottery.

But on the particular day of the win, he was fed up with his job and decided to risk it and go a bit further, purchasing the 200X $20 ticket instead. Commenting on his win, Jonathan remained philosophical and reflective on what the prize meant for him – and his family.

“I definitely plan on giving my girlfriend and kids a life that I never thought was possible. A little hope and perseverance, and a gift of luck are going to give us a life we have been working very hard to have,” he added.

This is not the first time a person has been down on his luck. An anonymous homeless person and his wife won $1,000,000 off a scratch-off ticket in California.

The person, details about whom are scarce, but whose identity has been confirmed by the California Lottery, all the same, has had difficulty believing his luck at first.
