Charlotte Hoping to Cash-In on Inter Miami’s Troubles

The situation in Inter Miami’s locker room probably isn’t great, which is something Charlotte want to take advantage of. The guys from North Carolina, on the other hand, are in a pretty good mood.

They won each of their last five games in all competitions, keeping a clean sheet in four of those. That said, their defense has been their strongest weapon in 2025, but we doubt they can stop Lionel Messi & Co. from scoring.

Sure, Seattle managed it, but keeping the Herons to zero for two games in a row does not seem possible. Instead of “parking the bus” in front of their goal, Charlotte’s players will have to get proactive in the attack as well.

The bad news is that they’re not famous as a high-scoring team. The good news is that they have some really talented forwards on the roster, most notably the former Premier League star, Wilfried Zaha.

Inter Miami Need to Pull Themselves Together ASAP

What happened in the Leagues Cup Final was embarrassing, but the Herons need to leave the whole kerfuffle behind them. The 2025 MLS is the only competition they can win this year, so they need to take every league game seriously.

Suarez (probably) won’t play anytime soon, but they still have plenty of amazing players on the roster. Lionel Messi is their best player, but they also have Rodrigo de Paul, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and many others.

Their coach might not be elite, though. The man in question is Javier Mascherano, whom many are blaming for all of Inter Miami’s disastrous matches in 2025 – including the one against Seattle.

Charlotte’s players are in good form; Inter Miami’s are not. However, when it comes to player quality, the visitors are way, way superior – and we think that’s the factor that will count on September 13.

Our prediction is that Inter Miami will win this game, but it won’t be a big one. A 2:1 win looks like the most probable scenario.
