Carnival Cruises to Roll Out Multi-Ship Carnival Millions Lottery

Carnival Corporation’s subsidiary is introducing a dedicated lottery game that will give holidaymakers another way to add to the fun of their experience

Carnival Cruise has announced the arrival of a new, dedicated lottery game onboard its ships, with Carnival Millions soon to offer guests the chance to win up to $1 million in daily lottery draws – along with other goodies.

To participate, travelers need only purchase their digital tickets through the dedicated Carnival HUB app, with all ships in North America and Europe eligible for the draws, and contributing to the prize pools, which include primary and secondary prizes.

Carnival Cruises Adds New Lottery Product, But Details Are Missing

Commenting on the opportunity to create a multi-ship lottery game, Carnival Corporation SVP of global gaming, Marty Goldman, had this to add:

“By linking our ships into one exciting lottery, we’re creating a shared sense of anticipation that goes beyond any single voyage. This experience allows every guest to win a life-changing jackpot, exactly the kind of fun and energy our guests love.”

However, the lottery has not yet been rolled out, and details about the costs of a ticket as well as the exact prize structure are still missing.

One minor complaint is that there is no information on whether the prizes will have a real-world cash value or be locked into the Carnival Cruises ecosystem, meaning that any prizes would have to be spent on board the Carnival Cruises ships.

Winners will be contacted by the Casino and Guest Services teams. Carnival Cruise holidaymakers, though, are not all that excited about the announcement, as some have expressed regret that the gaming update specifically deals with just the lotteries.

Carnival Cruise already offers various lottery games with cash prizes. Most are hoping to get a sportsbook on board the cruise ships, something that the company has been looking into, as gaming expands at the expense of other, dated forms of entertainment.

Carnival Cruise has also announced that its Carnival Conquest ship will receive an expanded casino. The ship spent 12 days in dry dock to receive multiple updates besides the casino.
