White has confirmed that the bout has been locked in for September 13, and Riyadh Season collaborator Turki Alalshikh similarly shared the news on his social media account in X, previously Twitter. This is big news for combat sports fans, as Canelo Alvarez is one of the most formidable boxers of all time.

Not only that, but he is generally associated with some of the biggest gambling handles that go down on single boxing events as a rule of thumb, creating a lot of value not just in terms of ad revenue, but also by tying in sportsbooks and boosting engagement through the opportunity to offer interesting odds and possible outcomes on the fight.

Presently, Canelo will be defending his undisputed super middleweight championship belt against Crawford. The upcoming event will be the biggest box-office fight this year, with White attesting to that: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime fight,” he argued. But there are a few final details to sort out.
