Can the Buffalo Bills Forget About Last Week’s Horror?
The Buffalo Bills need to leave the 35:10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens behind them if they want to beat the Houston Texans. They mustn’t let the defeat take a toll on the team morale. However, they need to take a look at what they did wrong in that game and try to fix the problems.
Their biggest problem in last weekend’s game was their offense, which is really surprising given that QB Josh Allen & Co. were fantastic in the first three games of the season. In fact, they scored 112 points in those three games, which accounts for 37.3 points per game.
The Ravens, however, found a way to stop them. Baltimore’s defense was a bit rough, making some aggressive tackles, but it worked – in the end they conceded just 10 points to the Bills.
Buffalo’s quarterback went 16-for-29 for 180 yards, which isn’t that bad, especially given that he had no interceptions. However, none of Allen’s passes resulted in a touchdown. Instead, their only TD was the work of running back Ty Johnson.
Houston Texans Loving Their Life in 2024
Last season, the Houston Texans made the playoffs after a four-year hiatus. It was the first year with C. J. Stroud as their quarterback. Now in his second season in the NFL, he’s looking great, and so are many other youngsters playing for Houston.
It seems that the atmosphere in this team is great, which can be seen on the field. These guys love each other, and they love playing with each other. Most importantly, they love playing football, which is why the 34:7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings two weeks ago didn’t have too bad an impact on them.
The evidence is that last weekend, they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 24:20. Stroud was brilliant with his passing, completing 27 of 40 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns, with zero interceptions.
Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans Prediction
Our prediction for the Week 5 thriller in Houston is that both teams will do great passing-wise. In such cases, there are usually plenty of points on both ends, but which team will produce more? Our pick is Buffalo for the fact that Josh Allen and his teammates really need to up their game after the disturbingly poor performance last weekend.
Pick: Buffalo Bills
