Brian Angiolet Joins DraftKings as Chief Media Officer

Brian Angiolet will be serving as Chief Media Officer at DraftKings. In his new position, effective from April 26, Angiolet will help oversee and optimize content creation, and media strategy.
DraftKings Hires Brian Angiolet as CMO
DraftKings, the US-based sports betting market leader, announced on Tuesday that it hired the services of Brian Angiolet. In his new position, he will serve as Chief Media Officer, effective from Monday, April 26, 2021. The appointment marks the first-ever CMO position for DraftKings and Angiolet will help oversee and optimize content creation. Furthermore, in his new position, he will also oversee media strategy.
Before joining DraftKings, Angiolet served as SVP and Chief Business Officer at Verizon Communications Inc. While at Verizon, he led multiple high-profile, multi-billion-dollar content and advertising initiatives. Such deals included partnerships with premier sports leagues such as NBA and the NFL.
Furthermore, Angiolet has overseen Verizon Wireless’s advertising, and media portfolio. Most recently, he helped the company with its 5G mobile edge computing partnership program and held a key role in the deals with IBM, Amazon, and Microsoft.
Angiolet Brings Significant Experience to DraftKings
In a statement, Angiolet shared his excitement by saying that for DraftKings the sky is the limit. Furthermore, he acknowledged that the company’s platform holds significant potential. In conclusion, Angiolet said that he is looking forward to working alongside DraftKings’ team and its partners at this “important juncture for the company“.

Jason Robins, co-founder and CEO at DraftKings said that Angiolet brings significant experience to this new position as CMO. Furthermore, Robins said that Angiolet has a deep understanding of gaming, sports, and content, which will undoubtedly result in boosting player engagement.

Robins did not miss saying that DraftKings’ presence is continuously growing, and it was boosted by the acquisition of VSiN. Furthermore, he acknowledged that Angiolet’s creative ideas will undoubtedly help propel DraftKings’ content. In conclusion, he said that he is thrilled to welcome Angiolet on board.
