Brazilian Player GZingano Wins $83K from PokerStars’ Super Sunday PKO
Emerging as the winner of the $109 Super Sunday PKO event, GZingano has collected the largest prize from the PokerStars Sunday Million Season yet

On Monday, the PokerStars Sunday Million Season wrapped up its second week. Undoubtedly, all participants will remember their play but one of them will likely always remember one of the recent tournaments. This is Guilherme “GZingano” Zingano, a player from Brazil who emerged as the winner of the $109 Super Sunday PKO tournament.
Becoming the winner of the event, the professional poker player secured the largest prize for the PokerStars Sunday Million Season yet. The exciting event with a $109 buy-in saw nearly 10,700 players join in on the action. Considering the buy-in, the players created a mouth-watering $1,046,000 prize pool.
As the winner of the $109 Super Sunday PKO event, Zingano took home a whopping $83,490 grand prize. Besides him, seven other players within the top nine collected a five-figure prize. One player who also participated in the final table collected a four-figure prize.
In case the winner with the nickname GZingano matches the profile of Guilherme Da Matos Zingano with the Hendon Mob, the live poker’s largest database, the latest win would be the biggest one for him so far. According to the database, Guilherme Da Matos Zingano has participated in poker tournaments as far back as November 2017 and his best live cash prize was $2,663 in February 2020.
Top Nine Finalists Collect Hefty Prizes
As noted, PokerStars’ $109 Super Sunday PKO event saw a field of more than 10,000 players. A player from Romania nicknamed magnolium secured the ninth spot in the tournament, collecting a $10,747 prize, boosted by $5,918 bounties. In contrast, the eighth position was taken by a nik_meat, a player from Ukraine who took home $9,677, the smallest prize out of all the top nine finalists.
Taking seventh place was SaoJorge2222 from Brazil, who secured a $11,204 prize, while NEED100KFAST from Sweden won $14,488 from the tournament for taking sixth place. A player from Canada nicknamed CampCrusher85 took fifth place, collecting $28,156, while Ukraine’s daria130399 was fourth, winning $30,357.
The third place in the $109 Super Sunday PKO tournament belonged to Thrumbo from New Zealand who won $42,888. Missing the first place which was taken by Zingano was Sajanas23 from Lithuania. The player who ranked second took home a hefty $67,694 prize.
