Brawl at Wynn Las Vegas Between Two of the Vargas Brothers

A clip has recently gone viral showing two of former middleweight champion Fernando Vargas’s sons fighting at the Wynn Las Vegas

Video of a fight between the sons of a former boxing legend has been blowing up. The brawl was between two pro boxers, Fernando Vargas Jr. and his younger brother Amado Vargas, who are the sons of Fernando “El Feroz” Vargas. Their brawl was filmed by the spectators and soon after went viral.

Instead of hashing out their differences in the ring, the fight took place at the hotel lobby of Wynn Las Vegas after the two got into a quarrel. The brothers were separated a little after their dispute became physical.

No reasoning for their actions has been verified; however, their fans have been theorizing. Official statements have not been released yet, and neither has publicly addressed the situation.

Accusations had been thrown online that Amado had slept with Fernando Jr’s girlfriend three times in a week, which the younger brother openly dispelled.

The Brothers Boxing Career

The last time Fernando Jr. got in the ring was on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez v Terence Crawford. His opponent was the Irish boxer Callum Walsh, and a unanimous decision declared Walsh the winner.

Before that the 29-year old Fernando Jr. was seen as a promising 154lbs prospect with an undefeated 17-0 record. Jr. is also referred to as “El Feroz” as a tribute to his father. Fernando Vargas Sr., has faced big names like Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya.

Amado Vargas, having a record of 17-0, with 15 of his wins being from a knockout, has recently also started to make a name for himself in the junior middleweight division.

Youngest Brother’s View on the Situation

Their other brother, the 21-year-old Emiliano Vargas, expressed his thoughts on all the speculations surrounding the brawl: “People love drama.”

On social media, he shared this: “Do I condone my brothers fighting? Not at all. The ones pointing fingers forget they have family; they couldn’t even be in the same room together.”

Emiliano currently holds an unblemished 16-0 fight record. On February 28, he will be competing for the NABF and WBO Latino super lightweight titles.
