Century Casinos, a Colorado-based casino entertainment company, announced that it has formed a new partnership with the leading sports betting operator BetMGM. Under this agreement, BetMGM will be able to operate online sports betting in Missouri.

BetMGM Secures Missouri Entry

In its official release, Century Casinos announced that it has penned a new partnership arrangement with BetMGM through its Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau subsidiary. According to the announcement, this long-term agreement will bring BetMGM’s cutting-edge sports betting platform to the Missouri market.

Century Casinos elaborated that, per the deal, BetMGM will operate an online and mobile sports betting application under Century’s license in Missouri. In return, BetMGM will pay a percentage of its net gaming revenues to the Colorado-based operator, with a guaranteed minimum.

The agreement also includes a retail sportsbook option that could be exercised at Century Casinos’ discretion.

This deal represents an important opportunity for BetMGM to expand its geographical footprint and grow its US market share. Century Casinos, on the other hand, would get the opportunity to partner with a well-known sportsbook operator and ensure its long-term success in Missouri.

The agreement, for context, is contingent on obtaining all necessary gaming licenses and regulatory approvals. The announcement comes shortly after Missouri approved legal sports betting, which is set to launch on December 1, 2025. Per its regulatory framework, retail sports betting licenses will be priced at $250,000, while online licenses will cost $500,000.

Players Can Look Forward to Premium Experiences

Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, Century Casinos’ co-chief executive officers, hailed the agreement with BetMGM, praising the opportunity to partner with a “leading online sports betting and gaming entertainment company with a dynamic and innovative brand.”

The co-CEOs said:

This partnership is another step forward in leveraging our Missouri licenses and delivering premium entertainment experiences for our customers.

BetMGM Gains Traction

A month ago, BetMGM reported its financials for the first quarter of the year, highlighting spectacular growth across the board. Among other things, the company turned EBITDA-positive, which was a major development that heralded a new era for the business.

BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt attributed the performance to the company’s continued momentum and reaffirmed the company’s confidence in achieving full-year positive EBITDA in 2025, supported by “solid underlying activity trends.”

The financial report led to a spike in the share price of BetMGM’s co-owner companies, MGM Resorts International and Entain.
