BetMGM Continues iGaming Expansion with New Jersey Bingo Launch

BetMGM has launched Borgata Bingo, which went live yesterday in New Jersey. At one point only an online sportsbook, the MGM Resorts International-backed offering has made a huge splash in the iGaming sector. Its objective is to be a complete iGaming solution serving the North America market and, possibly, international markets.
MGM Does Bingo
The app was created by Entain, the brand’s co-owner, and offers the first real-money 75-ball online bingo product. According to an announcement by BetMGM, the app includes all the bingo programming, as well as slot games and jackpots.
Borgata Bingo is available for download on both iOS and Android and is accessible via desktop.
Matthew Sunderland, VP Gaming at BetMGM, stated that Borgata Bingo offers players an engaging digital gaming experience. It builds on the fun of live, in-person bingo. “We’re pleased to introduce this first-of-its-kind platform as we further expand the Borgata brand online,” he added.
BetMGM is the leading online casino operator in New Jersey. It controls 30% of the market in terms of gross gaming revenue (GGR). It also has a 32% market share in the national GGR market across its four live markets, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Bingo Added to Rewards Program
Borgata Bingo users can integrate with MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program to redeem their online game points for experiences in MGM Resorts properties such as the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Atlantic City, MGM Grand and Bellagio in Las Vegas, MGM National Harbor Maryland and Beau Rivage Mississippi.
BetMGM is expanding its platform into new states. Bingo isn’t likely to be a huge money-maker; however, it’s the only product of its kind. This will give BetMGM an edge, for now, and allow it to target the niche market without competition.
BetMGM has been able to build heavily on the MGM and Entain names. It has formed a number of key partnerships and alliances across the US, such as its connection with Madison Square Garden, Inside Edge and a number of sports teams in all major leagues.
These have helped it attract attention and shoot up to be among the top three sportsbooks in the US market, but more is planned. By actively addressing the iGaming market, it is also developing an extensive suite of products that allow it to cater to all types of gamblers. This is being seen among all online sportsbooks now, and will continue to drive more traffic to the online casino space over the next several years.
