2025 Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 Odds, Time, and Prediction
The 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix is coming up on Sunday, August 3, and it could be one of the most crucial races of the season. Piastri, Norris, Verstappen – they’re all predicted to go all-in at the Hungaroring

The Hungaroring might not be the fastest track out there, but it’s tight, technical, and punishes even the smallest mistake. This makes it a perfect place for a shake-up in the standings.
After Spa, where McLaren continued to show why they’re the team to beat this year, we now head to Budapest, where strategy matters more than raw power. So, whose driving IQ can lead them to the top of the podium? Let’s find out.
2025 Hungarian Grand Prix Odds
Moneyline | Odds |

Oscar Piastri | +165 |

When, Where, and How to Watch?

McLaren Still in Command
As we correctly predicted, Oscar Piastri won the race in Belgium last Sunday. The win cemented his place at the top of the F1 Standings, and bookmakers think he’s going to stay there.
Bookies think he might even win this race, for the second time in a row. But even if he doesn’t win, he might stay at the top. The thing is that the only other driver who could leapfrog him is his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris.

The two are sharing the role of the main favorite to win the 2025 Hungarian GP, each priced at +165. The reason why Norris is so highly rated by oddsmakers isn’t just that he’s second in the standings. It’s also because he put on some decent performances in Budapest over the last couple of years.
He’s never won in Hungary, but he seems to keep getting closer each time – he finished second in each of the last two editions of the race.
Key Race for Verstappen
Max Verstappen is the man who’s won the Hungarian GP two times. This happened in 2022 and 2023, before Piastri ended his run. Last year’s race saw the Red Bull driver put on a relatively poor performance – he finished fifth.
In 2025 F1, such a finish isn’t unusual for the defending champ. However, he needs to start performing better if he wants to keep his hopes of defending the title alive.
Verstappen is currently third in the F1 Drivers Championship, with 81 points fewer than Piastri and 65 fewer than Norris. Eleven more races are left on the 2025 calendar, meaning that he still has plenty of time to challenge for the No. 1 spot. However, to get there, he needs to start winning races again. That’s something he hasn’t done since mid-May.
2025 Hungarian Grand Prix Prediction
Lando Norris is our pick for the 2025 Hungarian GP. He’s a fantastic driver, possibly even more talented than his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri. Plus, this guy’s been consistent throughout the season, with his worst finish being the No. 4 position.
He did get the No. 18 place in Canada, but due to a crash, he didn’t go over the finish line. Since that race, he’s won two races and finished second once. Obviously, his form is amazing, and we think he’ll crown it with a win in Budapest.
Pick: Lando Norris
