Yggdrasil Expands Balkan Presence with Merkur in Serbia

Yggdrasil is happy to report that the company has teamed up with Merkur, a global behemoth, in Serbia to expand through its local MerkurXtip brand in the fast-developing Eastern European market.

Serbia provides both operators and suppliers with a dynamic and lucrative business environment, making Yggdrasil’s further local expansion logical.

The integration is carried out through a team-up with Bragg Gaming, which has helped roll out both the supplier’s original content as well as curated third-party content from the YGG Masters portfolio.

Commenting on this opportunity, Yggdrasil CCO Jose Kadala said that the company was greatly pleased to be further boosting its presence in the local market, and with Merkur, of all companies.

Serbia’s fast-expanding gambling market has already seen calls for restricting the industry’s reach, including urges to pass a complete ban on gambling advertisement in the country.
