The 2024 World Series of Poker will kick off on May 28, 2024, and run through July 17, 2024
The most prestigious, richest and longest-running poker series, the World Series of Poker (WSOP), is set to return this May, promising unrivaled experiences and expecting a record-breaking number of players. Recently, Caesars Entertainment, the leading gaming and hospitality company, along with WSOP, uncovered details regarding the 55th edition of the famous WSOP series.
Set to return to Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip, the 2024 WSOP will kick off on May 28, 2024. This year, there will be nearly 700 tables for poker players, along with new events that promise unique experiences. The 2024 WSOP will run through July 17, 2024, and is expected to attract some of the most recognizable players within the poker sector.
WSOP in 2023 marked a record-breaking visitation. The highly successful tournament clashed some of the best poker players from across the globe. Now, the 2024 edition of the tournament is planned to surpass last year’s record. At the same time, the 2024 WSOP brings exciting new events.
The Series to Return Bigger and Better
Ty Stewart, WSOP’s SVP and executive director, revealed that it is exciting to see the return of the tournament to its original main event location in Las Vegas, Horseshoe Las Vegas. He spoke about WSOP’s ongoing commitment to breaking records and constantly growing bigger and better at the same time. “With our best schedule ever and more than 100 additional poker tables, we look forward to welcoming legends, first-timers and everyone in between,” added Stewart. Finally, he revealed that the WSOP promises an experience unlike anything else for poker fans from all around the world.
“We’re proud to be Las Vegas’s original Main Event. Records are made to be broken, so our motto this year is bigger and better.“

The WSOP Main Event, the most important event within the upcoming series, will start on July 3, 2024, featuring four starting flights until July 6. According to WSOP, late registration will be possible between July 7 and July 8, while the Main Event Final Table will be played between July 16 and July 17, 2024.
Besides the Main Event, the 2024 WSOP will bring an all-new event, the Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezout. The $5,000 buy-in event will feature many former WSOP Main Event champions, including last year’s winner, Daniel Weinman. The unique event will enable players who knock out former Main Event champions to automatically secure entry into the event.
