WSOP to Host $60M Main Event GTD with Triton and GGPoker

The world’s top poker brands are bringing an absolute banger of a poker event with the 2025 WSOP Paradise due in December

The World Series of Poker is going to return with the largest prize pool in the event’s history to date – the eye-watering $60,000,000. But instead of featuring this record-breaking purse at the Main Event in Las Vegas, WSOP is instead hosting the 2025 WSOP Paradise, which will feature a $25,000 Main Event.

World’s Largest Poker Prize Pool to Be Won in December

This crowning poker event is co-hosted with GGPoker and Triton, and it will be one of the absolute best in the competitive circle, bringing a large yet unknown pool of contenders vying for the lion’s share. To put things in perspective, last year’s Main Event was $10,000,000.

The $60,000,000 offered this year is just the guaranteed amount. As more participants sign up, the top prize is likely to grow as well. Hosted at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the event will kick off on December 4 through December 18.

2025 WSOP Paradise is also the organization’s CEO, Ty Stewart, all proof that bold concepts work. Stewart said that last year’s edition was approached with a healthy dose of skepticism, mostly because of its large prize pool.

Not only was the previous edition a major success, but it has demonstrated that, if anything, WSOP has undershot. Stewart had this to say defiantly as he announced the eye-watering prize pool for the upcoming event:

“They called us crazy last year for launching the Super Main Event with the biggest live tournament guarantee ever, so consider this a re-raise. WSOP Paradise is here to stay, and we’re making poker history once again, with the $60,000,000 guarantee and some new signature events. The expanded partnership with Triton, alongside the new Super Mystery Bounty kickoff event, headlines what is a can’t-miss winter festival.”

The fact that there are so many different organizations getting involved is also a testimony to poker’s popularity and the opportunity to bring the international scene more closely together. WSOP has had time to learn from some bad experiences in the past, including the use of coaching during live events and controversial hand plays.

Triton Poker and GGPoker Throw Their Weight Behind the History-Making Event

Now, the organization is bringing these lessons to the 2025 WSOP Paradise gathering and intends to ensure the integrity of the competition in every way possible. Apart from WSOP, there will be at least several Triton-backed events, including the $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em, and $250,000 Triton Invitational.

As to GGPoker, the online platform has already launched the Road to Paradise online qualifiers, allowing players to test their mettle and try to gain entry into the Main Event, and one of the many other competitions. The full schedule for the upcoming 2025 WSOP Paradise has not been revealed just yet, but it will be in the coming weeks or months.
