Woman Steals $113K from Armored Vehicle Meant for Casinos

A woman in Las Vegas, Regina Valenzuela, was arrested on Monday, September 29, and taken to the Clark County Detention Center. She is suspected of having stolen $113,000 or more from an armored truck at the company where she worked.

Money Is Missing, So Is the Employee for the Day

The money was earmarked for local casinos but never made it to the supposed destinations. Valenzuela has been let go by her employer, with Sectran Security alleging that she stole at least $112,532 from two Dotty Casino franchises during a trip on May 31, 2025.

Investigators supposedly have Valenzuela on tape moving money bags without authorization. Sher has been released on Tuesday, September 30, but is due in a custody hearing on October 30, 2025.

The alleged crime occurred on May 31, 2025, when Valenzuela showed up for her shift at 6:30 am. She returned the vehicle to the company’s headquarters at 8:30 am and left without communicating with anyone.

Later on, she told supervisors that she had to leave early because of a family emergency. Another employee had to fill in her shift, and during the end-of-day inventory, the firm found out that two bags of cash – one $88,352 and one $24,180 – were missing.

Further investigation caught Valenzuela on camera at a gas station where she was holding two company bags. They appeared to be in her sedan based on camera footage. The company argued that when she returned to work on June 1, 2025, she was dismissed after she was confronted with the missing money.

Valenzuela Brags About Her Alleged Score

Valenzuela supposedly fought back the allegations that she had done anything wrong and said that her abrupt disappearance had to do with a personal emergency. However, police did receive an anonymous tip that she had been bragging to a friend about stealing the money.

Nevertheless, the police were unable to trace the money, as her bank account remained fairly unchanged since the alleged theft. The camera footage will now be the focal point of her hearing, during which Valenzuela will have to explain her actions.
