Viviane Araújo vs. Tracy Cortez UFC 317 Odds, Time, and Prediction
Viviane Araújo vs. Tracy Cortez is the only WMMA fight on the UFC 317 card. This preliminary fight will take place in the afternoon on Saturday, June 28, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC 317 odds favor Tracy Cortez, but Viviane Araújo is a seasoned veteran who’s fought some of the best fighters in women’s MMA – Alexa Grasso, Amanda Ribas, etc. She fought them, but she lost those fights, and bookies think the same will be the case with her June 28 bout. What do we think? Keep reading to find out!

Can Viviane Araújo Upset the Odds on June 28?
“Vivi” is 13-6 overall and is currently sitting in the No. 8 position in the UFC Women’s Flyweight Division. Her win percentage is 68.42%, but she’s still two places higher in the rankings than Tracy Cortez, who’s at 84.61%.
The reason behind this is that Araújo has fought some real tough opponents in the past – and gave them real war. In fact, five of her six losses happened by decision. The only time she got finished was in 2017 when she lost by a TKO while fighting for a small-time Brazilian promotion called NP Fight.

Since coming to the UFC in 2019, she’s never been finished. She also didn’t finish too many opponents either. In fact, after a TKO win on her UFC debut, she’s got nothing by wins by decision.
But this doesn’t mean she’s a boring fighter. On the contrary, she’s a brawler with a great chin and an impressive gas tank. She lands 4.04 significant strikes a minute while getting hit 4.87 times. She also lands 1.86 takedowns per fight and has a TD defense of 80%.
Reasons Why UFC 317 Odds Favor Tracy Cortez
A year ago, Tracy Cortez fought her first-ever five-rounder. It was a hot night in Denver where she went to a 25-minute war with Rose Namajunas. She did put on a good fight, but “Thug Rose” landed way more strikes as well as took Cortez down five times.
That was Tracy’s first loss since her professional MMA debut in Invicta FC back in 2017. What’s also interesting is that it was her eighth straight fight that went the distance. Actually, each of her UFC fights lasted until the final bell. Our prediction is that the same will be the case with her UFC 317 fight.
But who’s going to get her arm raised triumphantly in the air at the end of the 15 minutes? UFC 317 odds suggest it’s gonna be Cortez, but for this to happen, she will need to work hard inside the Octagon. Tracy needs to try and hurt her opponent, as well as do her best not to get dragged onto the floor.
Viviane Araújo vs. Tracy Cortez Prediction
We’re almost 100% confident that the Araújo vs. Cortez UFC 317 fight will go the distance. What we’re not sure about is who’s going to win. While the betting odds favor Cortez to win, we suspect that “Vivi” might be able to grind out a victory.
