UK National Lottery Jackpot Goes Unclaimed, Swells to $6.6M
Other lottery games such as Thunderball and Lotto HotPicks also failed to crown a winner

The latest UK National Lottery drawing has left the jackpot unclaimed, allowing it to swell to the significant sum of £5.2 million (approximately $6.6 million) for the next drawing. The last drawing took place on Saturday, June 15, failing to crown a winner.
For context, the winning Lotto numbers were 01, 09, 25, 29, 34 and 39. The bonus number, meanwhile, stood at 22.
According to The National Lottery, no issued ticket has succeeded in matching all numbers correctly, meaning that the jackpot will carry on to the next drawing. For context, the next drawing is set to take place this Wednesday.
While no one managed to hit the jackpot, a single lucky player guessed five of the six winning numbers correctly, as well as the bonus ball. Thanks to that, the player won a prize of £1 million ($1.3 million).
Other Games Also Failed to Crown a Winner
In the meantime, Lotto HotPicks, a separate game that uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw, also failed to crown a winner, leaving a jackpot of £350,000 ($443,000) unclaimed. However, three players succeeded in matching four of the five Lotto HotPicks numbers, earning them £13,000 ($16,500) each.
The lottery also reported that no one managed to win the Thunderball jackpot either. As a game using separate numbers, Thunderball held a separate drawing. The winning numbers were 12, 16, 19, 24 and 36. The Thunderball, on the other hand, was 10.
Should a player have matched all five numbers and the Thunderball, they would have been eligible to win £500,000 ($633,000). While no one succeeded in grabbing the grand prize, two players matched all five regular numbers, earning them £5,000 ($6,300) each.
Other Recent Jackpot Winners
Elsewhere a lucky player from Michigan recently won $100,000 playing the popular Fantasy 5 game. The mouth-watering prize was claimed by a 69-year-old from Shelby Township who said that he plans to use the money to buy himself a new car and save up the rest.
Around the same time, a Filipino player struck a life-changing $572,000 Mega Lotto jackpot.
Earlier this year, The Breakfast Club, a mid-Michigan lottery club, claimed the massive $842.4 million Powerball Jackpot. According to a club spokesperson, the winners opted to receive the lump cash sum of $305 million after taxes.
