UFC Chief Eyes One-Night Vegas Face-Off With Million-Dollar Bets on Netflix

Dana White described the broadcast as a direct showdown between himself and a Las Vegas casino, framed with the same hype and spectacle as a major fight night

Dana White, the CEO of UFC, is pushing to create a new venture. This venture aims to combine high-stakes gambling with live entertainment. White wants to turn a multi-million dollar casino showdown into a Netflix spectacle.

White Teases $30M Credit Line Pitch for Live Casino Duel

White talked about his plans during a recent appearance on Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast. The proposal involves a one-night event focused on a huge credit line and a series of baccarat bets worth millions.

White laid out his idea for the broadcast as a face-off between him and a Las Vegas casino, with all the excitement and showmanship of big fight night events. He thought the show could feature pre-game style breakdowns of stats favoring each side, building up the tension before they start dealing cards. He said the plan would need the casino to give him about $30 million in credit so he could bet $1 million on each hand throughout the night.

His excitement about the idea comes when talk of his gambling past has come up again. Stories have spread claiming he owes big amounts at a Las Vegas venue, but White says these are not true and insists he has been on a hot streak. He said his winning run started in early September and he has not had a losing visit since then. He did not want to share the total amount he is up, just saying it was big enough that he would rather keep the number under wraps.

Global Casino Hunt Looms as Dana White’s $1M-Per-Hand Netflix Vision Hits Nevada Limits

While White seems sure his momentum could turn the Netflix idea into a gripping watch, real-world rules and business factors might throw a wrench in the works. Nevada laws cap single bets way lower than what he is after, and just a few Las Vegas Strip spots are known to handle the high end of his usual betting range. Common sense in the industry hints that if a Las Vegas venue was okay with million-dollar hands, he would already be playing those stakes there.

Given these limits, experts think he may need to look overseas if he wants to go ahead with the broadcast on the scale he has in mind. People have long said that casinos in Macau take bets that come close to or go over the million-dollar mark for certain VIPs, and fancy resorts in Singapore allow bets up to half a million dollars in some cases. It is still up in the air whether any of these places would agree to a worldwide-streamed face-off.

Netflix is teaming up with White on a different documentary to explore gambling culture in Las Vegas, but he mentioned that this proposed special would be separate as a standalone event. At the moment, the idea is still in its early stages, though he seems set on turning the concept into a high-profile showdown between a casino’s odds advantage and his own self-assurance at the baccarat table.
