Two Major Executives Depart from Entain Australia and New Zealand
Lachlan Fitt and Cameron Rodger, who played a key role for Entain and TAB's growth in the last couple of years, are reportedly leaving the company

Earlier this month, the leading gaming and entertainment company, parent to globally recognizable brands, Entain, announced the unexpected departure of its CEO, Gavin Isaacs. Now, a newly released report suggests another major switch in the company’s leadership, this time affecting its New Zealand and Australia operations.
Lachlan Fitt and Cameron Rodger Leaving Entain
It was back on June 1, 2023, when Entain took over the operation of the TAB in New Zealand. This became possible thanks to a partnership between the duo which spans a total of 25 years. Since then, TAB has seen exponential growth in its racing and wagering operations, helping also to expand the sector in the country.
A key role in the growth over the last two years was played by two executives, Lachlan Fitt and Cameron Rodger. While the former holds the role of deputy chief executive and chief financial officer for Entain Australia, the latter is Entain New Zealand’s managing director. In another unexpected turn of events, both Fitt and Rodger are reportedly going to be leaving the company.
Confirmation about the execs departure came from Entain Australia’s CEO, Dean Shannon, who was recently interviewed by the New Zealand Herald. According to the executive, both Fitt and Rodger are going to depart from Entain but would likely continue to work in the sector, focusing on racing and breeding.
It is currently unclear whether the executives have any job employment offers and who their future employer would be. Despite the two executives’ departure, Shannon confirmed that both TAB and Entain remain dedicated to helping grow the racing and betting industry in the region.
The Executives Plan to Stay Part of the Racing Industry
Rodger spoke about his career in the betting industry, spanning more than 10 years. He acknowledged the last two years during which time he led Entain New Zealand as “incredible,” adding that he feels that now is the right time to “turn the page and take on a new challenge.”
Moreover, Rodger said: “The progress made in modernizing the New Zealand wagering landscape has been extraordinary and I leave knowing the business is in great shape.” He added that while he is departing from Entain, he will remain a part of the racing industry in New Zealand.
Similarly, Fitt said that he is looking forward to the next chapter in his career. “While I am resigning from Entain, I am not resigning from New Zealand,” he explained, adding that he has more than a decade experience in the wagering vertical. Finally, Fitt said that he will combine his passion for bloodstock and racing, pursuing new opportunities.
